Datadog & Better Stack integration
This integration allows you to create Uptime incidents from Datadog automatically
Connecting Uptime and Datadog
1. In the Uptime dashboard
- Log into your Uptime dashboard and on the left panel click Integrations
- Click the Importing data tab
- Scroll down and look for the Infrastructure monitoring section
- Find the Datadog card and click the Add button
- In the new window, name your Datadog integration (e.g.: Backend service) and click Save changes. Don't close the Uptime dashboard just yet, you'll need it in a moment.
2. In the Datadog dashboard
- Log into your Datadog dashboard
- Open Integrations from the left-hand sidebar
- Search for webhooks and click Configure
- Scroll down in the modal and click on New + in the Webhooks section
- Enter the integration name (example: uptime)
- Copy the URL found in the Datadog webhook URL section in Uptime Datadog integration settings into the Datadog webhook settings
- Copy the Payload found in the Datadog webhook payload section in Uptime Datadog integration settings into the Datadog payload settings
- Click Save
3. In a particular Datadog Monitor, you want to set up alerts for
- Add the new webhook to the (5) Notify your team monitor settings section by typing its name (e.g. @webhook-uptime)
That's it! Now, when Datadog catches an incident, it will be sent into Uptime.
