If you’d like to receive phone call alerts even if your phone is in the Do Not Disturb or silent mode, you’re at the right place.

- Click edit in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Scroll to Ringtone and Text Tone and click either of those two options to edit.
- Enable the Emergency Bypass at the top of the selection screen.
- Click Done in the upper right corner to save your changes.
Allowing phone call alerts in silent mode on Android
To get a phone call alert to go through even if your Android is set to silent mode, you can use the do not disturb exception feature and manually allow our dedicated alerting phone numbers:
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap Sound → Do Not Disturb. If you find "Do Not Disturb preferences" instead, you're using an older Android version. Try these steps for Android 8.1 and below.
- Under "What can interrupt Do Not Disturb," tap People.
- Choose what to allow:
- Calls:
- Anyone, contacts, or starred contacts.
- None.
- Repeat callers. To let a call through if the same person calls twice in 15 minutes, turn on Allow repeat callers.
- Messages:
- Anyone, contacts, starred contacts, or priority conversations
- None.
- Calls:
- We recommend the starred contacts option. To start a contact, go to your Contacts, select the Better Stack’s contact, and star them.
