AI SRE is Better Stack's chat‑based site reliability assistant. It can read your telemetry data, look at incidents, build dashboards, and even write code to fix errors, all within a single conversation.

Start a new chat in AI SRE → New chat.

The agent has access to your team's logs, metrics, traces, incidents, and on‑call schedules. It can also connect to third‑party tools like GitHub, Sentry, and Datadog to get a complete picture during an investigation.

Start your first conversation

There are several ways to start an AI SRE conversation:

  • In AI SRE, start a new chat from the sidebar.
  • In Errors, click Fix with AI on an error to have AI SRE create a GitHub pull request with a fix.
  • In Slack or Microsoft Teams thread, mention the @Better Stack bot to quickly start a chat.
    To enable this, go to Uptime -> Integrations -> Configure and check the Start an AI SRE conversation when Better Stack is tagged option.
  • Or continue an existing conversation from your chat history.

Bring context into the chat

Drop any of your incidents, errors, applications, sources, or Slack threads directly in the chat. Use the @ mention to reference Better Stack resources in the message box.

Pasting long text, like a JSON export, or dropping a file will upload it as an attachment.
