Connect Notion to allow AI SRE to look up your team's runbooks, documentation, and other knowledge stored in Notion, and to write back what it learns.

1. Open Integrations in AI SRE.
2. Click Add next to Notion.
3. In Notion, select your workspace and the pages AI SRE can use.
4. Click Allow access.

You're back on the integration's page in Better Stack, already connected.

Look up runbooks and docs in Notion

This is useful when your incident response procedures and technical documentation are in Notion. During an investigation, AI SRE automatically searches for relevant runbooks before trying to solve a problem from scratch.

Once connected, AI SRE can:

• List your Notion workspaces.
• Search across pages and databases.
• Read the content of individual pages, including text, tables, and other blocks.
• Query databases and read their schemas.

AI SRE only sees the pages you share with it.

AI SRE can't find a Notion page?

In AI SRE → Integrations, click your Notion integration to see how many pages AI SRE can read. Click Choose pages in Notion to add more.

Build a knowledge base in Notion

AI SRE can write to Notion, so it can save what it learns during an investigation and grow a knowledge base your team reuses next time.

Once connected, AI SRE can:

• Create and save pages.
• Append content to a page.
• Edit existing content on a page.

AI SRE won't write without your permission

AI SRE asks before each write to Notion, and you approve it in the chat. Always allow stops it asking for that tool for the rest of the chat. Scheduled tasks never ask, so they write to Notion only if you tick Edit Notion pages, blocks and comments under Tools.
