AI SRE Grafana integration

Connect Grafana to allow AI SRE to query metrics and inspect dashboards directly from your Grafana instances.

Go to AI SRE → Integrations → Grafana and provide your Grafana URL and a service account token. You can connect multiple Grafana instances.

Service account token permissions

The service account token needs at least Viewer access to dashboards and datasources.

Query Prometheus metrics and panels

Once connected, AI SRE can:

  • List your connected Grafana instances and their datasources.
  • Search for and read dashboards.
  • Run PromQL queries against any Prometheus datasource that Grafana has access to. Other datasource types, like Loki or InfluxDB, may have limited support.
  • Inspect Grafana alerts.
  • Import dashboards directly without exporting the JSON manually.

Your Grafana URL must be publicly reachable from Better Stack's servers. Self‑hosted Grafana instances behind a VPN will not work unless exposed to the internet.
