Brand guidelines

Straightforward rules for keeping Better Stack branding clear and consistent.

Naming

Better Stack is always written as two words with a space in between – “Better” and “Stack” – both capitalized. It’s a product name, not a verb or a generic noun, so you should never use “BetterStack” or “Betterstack.” When you refer to our products, treat them as proper nouns and write them the same way you see them in the interface, for example - Better Stack Telemetry, Better Stack Warehouse, Uptime, or Errors. If unsure, default to “Better Stack”.

Usage

You can use any size of the logo that fits your layout, as long as the original shapes and proportions stay intact and the asset remains legible. Give the logo generous whitespace so it has room to breathe and doesn’t compete with nearby text or other elements. To scale the logo without quality loss, always use SVG format.

Our brand assets are protected under intellectual property laws. That means the assets must not be edited, cropped, distorted, or styled with extra effects in a way that changes how they look or suggests partnership or endorsement. Do not place our logo within product or company names, and do not lock it up with other logos or brands unless you have our written permission. Wordmark

For strong and consistent recognition, use the full Better Stack wordmark and prioritize our brand colors. If you need to adapt the colors to match your product UI palette, you can adjust the colors as long as contrast remains high, legibility is never compromised, and the wordmark is not distorted in the process. The shapes, spacing, and proportions must always stay the same, so avoid stretching, squeezing, or applying visual effects that make it look different from the original asset.

Logo

For tight layouts or logo-only grids, you can use the Better Stack logomark on its own. It works best when it has enough space around it and is used in one of the approved color variations, so it is instantly recognizable even without the Better Stack wordmark.

App icon

When you refer to the Better Stack mobile app, always use the official stylized app icon with the correct corner radius. Use it as provided, without swapping it for screenshots or generic symbols, and keep its shape, effects, and proportions unchanged so it stays consistent with the rest of the Better Stack brand.
