Migrating to pay as you go

Over the last year, we shipped a ton of new features marked as 'beta' including:

• Infrastructure monitoring with pre-made dashboards
• Anomaly detection alerts for your metrics 
• Querying logs and metrics using a drag-and-drop as well as an SQL builder
• New built-in troubleshooting tools to help you identify the root cause for timeout-based incidents like traceroute, MTR, and SSL diagnosis
• Transaction monitoring with Playwright checks
• AI-generated incident post-mortems
• Analyzing frequent incident causes and who's on-call the most with Reporting
• Reducing alert fatigue with AI incident silencing
• Self-serve call routing, previously only available for enterprises
• Embedding charts into your status pages and protecting them with IP-based allowlisting
• Resolving incidents faster with Slack-based incident management
• ...and there's a lot more coming soon!

As of August '24, all of the features above are graduating from 'beta' and are ready for prime time. You can now do a lot more with your Better Stack account than you could previously.

Upcoming pricing update

We're changing our pricing from plans-based to usage-based to reflect the growing value of the product better – see the full pricing here. This means that you'll only pay for what you use, instead of a flat fee for a pre-packaged usage plan, as you did until now. This aligns the value you get from Better Stack as closely as possible to what you pay for it.

The new pricing takes effect immediately for new customers. For existing customers, we're providing a 2-week window before the updated pricing applies to give you time to adjust to these changes. Any potential charges will be prorated; you'll be only charged for what you're using from that day onwards, according to the new pricing.
