Events & Community Advocate

The challenge

At Better Stack, we pilot a startup rocketship aiming for the moons of unicorns. With millions in ARR, thousands of customers, and hundreds of thousands of engineers already using us, we are on the right way toward $100M ARR.

On our path there, we're building the best place on the internet to learn about scaling apps, observability, DevOps, and much more. We call it the Better Stack community.

We want to bring this community of over 200,000+ people offline and meet them in person. We're looking for events & community advocate to help us organize our community events worldwide!

What you'll do

• Getting speakers. You'll invite and coordinate with speakers from tech conferences and developer influencers to share their knowledge with our community.
• Planning the event end-to-end. From securing a location like a pub in central London with catering to booking flight tickets for the videographers.
• Making the event happen. Enjoy public speaking and meeting new people — you'll be the first person on the ground making sure that beers are ice cold, cameras set, and everyone has an amazing time from start to finish.
• Working directly with the marketing team to align on how to organize the event to make sure we bring the largest part of the community together. We'll make sure the advertising works for us to attract all the attention.
• Bring your unique perspective on how to make the best events for engineers all over the world.

This might be for you if

• You enjoy organizing things and meeting new people. From day one, you'll have the opportunity to meet new people and bring them together.
• You like end-to-end ownership. You will have the opportunity to work on events around the world, from ideation to making it happen in the end.
• You have native-level English skills — both written and spoken form.
