# New Relic & Better Stack integration

This integration allows you to create Uptime incidents from New Relic automatically.

## Connecting New Relic and Uptime

1. Go to [Integrations](https://uptime.betterstack.com/team/0/integrations/ ";_blank").
2. Click the **Importing data** tab.
3. Scroll down and look for the **Infrastructure monitoring** section.
4. Find the New Relic card and click **Add**.
5. In the new window, name your New Relic integration (e.g., `Backend service`) and click **Save changes**. Keep this page open. You will need it in a moment.

### In New Relic

1. Log into the New Relic dashboard.
2. Open **Notification channels** from the top navigation bar.
3. Click on **New notification channel** and select a Webhook channel type.
4. Enter the **Webhook name**: `Uptime Webhook`.
5. Copy the URL found in the New Relic webhook URL section in Uptime New Relic integration settings into the **Base URL** in New Relic webhook settings.
6. Click **Create channel**.

### In a particular Alert Policy you want to set up alerts for

1. Click on the **Notification channel** tab.
2. Click on **Add notification channel** and select the new Webhook.
3. Click **Update policy**.

That is it! 🎉

Now, when New Relic catches an incident, it will be sent into Uptime.
