# Datadog & Better Stack integration

This integration allows you to create Uptime incidents from Datadog automatically.

## Connect Uptime and Datadog

1.  Go to [Integrations](https://uptime.betterstack.com/team/0/integrations/ ";_blank").
2.  Find the **Datadog** integration and click **Add**.
3.  Name your Datadog integration (for example, "Backend service") and click **Save changes**. Keep this page open; you will need the webhook URL and payload in a moment.

### In Datadog

1.  Go to your [Datadog Integrations](https://app.datadoghq.com/account/settings ";_blank").
2.  Search for `webhooks` and click **Configure**.
3.  Scroll down to the **Webhooks** section and click **New +**.
4.  Enter the integration name (for example, "uptime").
5.  Copy the **URL** and **Payload** from the Better Stack Datadog integration settings and paste it into the **URL** and **Payload** fields in Datadog.
7.  Click **Save**.

### Assign the webhook to a Datadog monitor

1.  Open the Datadog monitor for which you want to send alerts to Better Stack.
2.  In the **(5) Notify your team** section, add the new webhook by typing its name (for example, `@webhook-uptime`).

That's it! 🎉

Now, when Datadog catches an incident, it will be sent to Better Stack.
