# Dash0 & Better Stack integration

This integration allows you to create Better Stack incidents from Dash0 check alerts automatically.

## Connecting Dash0 and Better Stack

1.  Go to [Integrations](https://incidents.betterstack.com/team/0/integrations/ ";_blank") and click the **Importing data** tab.
2.  Find the **Dash0** card and click **Add**.
3.  Name your Dash0 integration (for example, "Backend service") and click **Continue**.
4.  Copy the webhook URL from the integration settings.

### In Dash0

1.  Go to the [Dash0 notification settings](https://app.dash0.com/settings/notifications ";_blank")
2.  Click **Add** → **BetterStack**.
3.  Paste the webhook URL from your Better Stack integration settings.
4.  Click **Send test notification**, then click **Save**.
5.  In each check rule or synthetic check you want to alert on, select the new channel in the **Notifications** section.

That's it. Now, when a Dash0 check fails, an incident will be created in Better Stack.

#### Want incidents for degraded checks too?
By default, Better Stack creates an incident only when a Dash0 check reaches its critical threshold. To include the degraded threshold, change **Create a new Better Stack incident when** in the integration settings.
