# Create a backup on-call schedule

To set up a secondary schedule, head over to the **Who’s on-call** tab and click on **Add on-call schedule**

Adding additional (secondary) schedule can be useful if you’d like to have various people on-call at the same time and do not wish to include them all in one single schedule. 

This would also prove super useful when setting up advanced escalation policies on the Business plan as you can choose to contact the on-call person from each schedule you have set up.

For example: 

**step 1** -  alert person from **primary on-call schedule**

**step 2** - alert person from **secondary on-call schedule**
