# How to view log output using docker-compose run?

You can start Docker compose in detached mode and attach yourself to the logs
of all containers later. If you're done watching logs you can detach yourself
from the logs output without shutting down your services.

1. To start all services in detached mode, run the following command:

```bash
docker-compose up -d
```

1. To attach yourself to the log output of the running services, run the
   following command:

```bash
docker-compose logs -f -t
```

`-f` option is used to follow the output and `-t` option display timestamps

1. To detach from the log output, press `Ctrl + Z` to `Ctr + C`.

If you are interested in the logs of a single docker container, you can use the
following command:

```bash
docker logs -t -f <name-of-service>
```
