Here is how to install Laravel 20.04 on Ubuntu in under two minutes:

Step 1 - Install Laravel package

For this step, you will need a composer.

If you have composer installed, run the following command to install Laravel:

composer global require "laravel/installer"

Step 2 - Create a new Laravel project

Now, create a new Laravel project by running the following command. Don’t forget to replace the example-app with the actual name of your project.

laravel new example-app

Step 3 - Run the project

After the project has been created, start Laravel's local development server using the Laravel's Artisan CLI serve command:

cd example-app && php artisan serve

That’s it

Once you have started the Artisan development server, your application will be accessible in your web browser at http://localhost:8000
